The female dormitories on level five house female psychiatric patients of the facility. Each room houses two patients and provides a bed and a dresser to each. These dormitories are patrolled frequently, twenty-four hours a day. Male patients and subjects are not permitted access to female dormitories.
The male dormitories on level five house male psychiatric patients of the facility. Each room houses two patients and provides a bed and a dresser to each. These dormitories are patrolled frequently, twenty-four hours a day. Female patients and subjects are not permitted access to male dormitories.
Both the male and the female wings are equipped with three seclusion rooms each. These rooms are used to temporarily house patients who have become a danger to themselves, or others. Each seclusion room supplies only a bed and a toilet to the patient, and patients in seclusion are monitored at all times. These rooms are not intended for long-term stays.
The level five recreation room is co-ed. As with the other recreation rooms, it provides a television, stereo and casual, comfortable seating. Games may be supplied by supervisory staff upon request.
The level five showerhouse is split up into two sections- Male and Female. Level 5 patients at high risk are monitored during showering and bathing activities by staff members of their own gender. Males are not permitted access to the female showerhouse section. Females are not permitted access to the male showerhouse section.
Patients who are on medications must report to the nurses' station on level five in the mornings and evenings for their dosage. Patients who receive medication three times a day must also report at lunchtimes. The nurses' station is the central hub for orderly patrols of the dormitory wings on this level.
