| Reception is the point through which all staff and subjects pass when they first arrive at the Thamesmead Facility. Subject and staff files are kept here. The facility information desk is here, and questions and concerns may be addressed to the reception staff here. All new arrivals go through preliminary processing at this location.

Individual therapy and tutoring takes place here, and staff may be approached here to answer questions and concerns.

These include examination rooms, a trauma unit, patient rooms, laboratories, a small OR, and an observation room. At the centre of this arrangement is the nurses' station, where patients may check in or request medical assistance.
| 0 | 0 | | | The cafeteria is open from seven o'clock in the morning to eight o'clock at night. Staff and subjects alike may visit at any time when they are not engaged in previously schedules classes, therapy or activities. The menu on offer is varied but carefully planned to keep a balanced and healthy diet. Junk food is a rarity here. Drinks and snacks may also be procured between classes, and all food and drink is free of charge.
| 0 | 0 | | | The atrium is a popular indoor hangout area located at the opposite end of the building from the reception and staff offices. The rounded glass walls offer views of the facility grounds to the south and east, and the spot is a sunny, relaxed place to study or spend time with friends.
