You're in a desert, walking along. You look down and see a tortoise. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, trying to right itself, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping. Why?:

Depending on the length of time spent in the desert, and available resources like food and water, it's possible to hypothesise that if those resources were running low, I might leave the tortoise to die so that I could eat it. However, this would be a very inefficient way of killing it, unless there were no other tools available. If I was desperate enough to kill the tortoise, the amount of time that would pass between flipping the tortoise over and its inevitable expiration might be too long for me to survive, so I would have to find a way to terminate it beforehand or perish. I can see no other reason i would turn the tortoise over, but hypothesising on the mind under duress is a complex proce-

The answer to this question depends entirely on the prior state of the glass. If the total volume capacity of the glass had been taken up entirely with water previously, and was either emptied to half its capacity, or half of the water evaporated, I would say that the glass was half empty. If the total volume capacity of the glass had previously been taken up entirely by air, and water was added to fill half of this, then I would say the glass is half full.

What methods would you employ in order to relax during times of stress, and how effective do you think these have been in the past?:

Ira’s positive qualities include his intelligence, his endearing manner, and his ability to stay focused on the task at hand. Some of Ira’s negative traits are that he can be as thick as two short planks, can be very childish, and he leaves his little computer bits everywhere for me to step on.

Describe one event in your life that you would change if you could, and why:

I wouldn't change anything, because then I wouldn't be who I am today. Life is a sum of all experience and nothing more.

I'd tell Mum.
